Love is not love if it does not serve and sacrifice.
To give back to our community, we have committed as a team to remove litter from our adopted street which is a segment of 173rd street from Cornell Rd to Walter Rd. on a quarterly basis. Beaverton city requires volunteers to be at least 12 years old or older. And if the volunteer is between 12-17 years then must print, sign and bring the waiver. The link also has information on the adopt-a-roadway program, safety rules, faq, etc. which you may optionally want to read.
We also encourage you to donate towards the many humanitarian activities Chinmaya Mission Portland does under the auspices of CORDUSA, like Homeless Shelter Cooking & Feeding, Oregon Food Bank, Free English Language Learner programs, Refugee help, School Supplies donation, etc. We will keep it as the seed money dedicated to these activities. Please check with your employer about matching grants, it doubles your donation’s impact today!
PLEASE NOTE: No one under 12 years of age is allowed to participate or to be on-site during a clean-up. Late arrival for the event is NOT possible.
Please note our 2022 dates for adopt-a-roadway cleanup : April 3, June 26, Sept 17 & Dec 17.
